At AISK our students learn the importance of scholarship, achievement, honesty and cooperation. Our faculty and staff are a committed group of professionals who recognize each student as an individual. We are focused on the importance of critical and compassionate thinking, fostering responsible citizenship, and teaching the wholeness of human heritage. It is our considered intent to guide our students as they become responsible stewards of our common future.
SCHOOL INTRODUCTIONAISK was founded in 1993 as a private, non-profit institution under the auspices of the American School of Warsaw. The school is currently made up of 13 nationalities and serves the international educational needs of expatriate and Polish national students residing in and around Krakow.
Our school makes every effort to enable students to take full advantage of living in beautiful Krakow and its surrounding area through field trips and excursions, including rafting the Dunajec River, skiing in the Tatra Mountains, attending local arts events, and exploring museums and archeological digs.
The school offers programs designed for preschool (3-4 year olds), primary/elementary (kindergarten grade 5), middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12). Core curriculum classes are offered in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Specialists teach other courses such as music, drama, physical education, languages (e.g. French, German, Polish, ESL), and library usage. The small class sizes of 15 or fewer allow teachers to individualize student learning.
